Locavore: Modern Filipino Cuisine

2:37 PM

I had been eyeing to go to Locavore Kitchen x Drinks since a foodie friend recommended this and bragged how their Filipino dishes come with a twist. So when I happen to go back to Manila last December I got the chance to try their food at the Kapitolyo Branch. I heard they also have a branch at the BGC but this review would only apply to the branch were we visited.

So my friends and I arrived around 6 PM and not much of people are there yet they have indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating was fully booked with all the reservations so we happen to sit on the outdoor which is still comfortable. The array of food to choose from is quite good, mostly Filipino dishes with their own twist. So we go ahead and ordered the Sizzling Sinigang  (P475), Pakbet Ratatouille(P270) and Porksilog (P255) as Gil is always craving for porkchops  ..And indeed the food was scrumptious and their signature Sizzling Sinigang was superb. We asked for extra gravy because it tastes so good.  We also tried their dessert Turon Con Leche(P200) with a scoop of Sorbetes Gatas, the ice cream is a bit smooth already when served but overall still yummy.
The Service was quite fast and the staffs were nice.  Around 7-8pm just in time for dinner it’s crowded and has a queue outside, well the queue speaks for itself.  We are definitely coming back, maybe at the BGC branch the next time around.
