Either via plane, via private car or via bus.
Cheapest option would be by bus, range around S$20-30
depending on timing and bus company. There are different pick up points around
Singapore but mostly go to Golden Mile where the main terminal is. The best
time to travel is at night where there are lesser queue and you can save time
& money by sleeping in the bus at night :)

Transportation: Buy RapidKL for monorail, LRTs,
MRT, buses & BRT Sunway Line

If you found yourself bored
in Kuala Lumpur or you have an extra day to roam around,
I recommend going to Genting Highlands. It is around an
hour away from KL and it is so easy to go.
How to go there: Buy tickets at the KL Sentral > Take the bus > Alight at Awana Bus Terminal
