Boracay Getaway : Bridal Shower Edition
10:02 AM
Bugirls – My college and forever girlfriends went to Boracay two weeks ago to have our Bridal Shower for the first and unexpectedly to get hitched – Gillian! Amid unforeseen circumstances, from plan A, to B up to Z (chos!) we were able to manage to still surprise Gil and had an amazing time with all the girls. It was the first time we were able to go out of town without their boyfriends and had so much time for girl talk and even heart to heart! (#heartstringbag – inside joke!) I’m always grateful for these wonderful girlfriends in my life. We learn to balance each other from good to bad, to pull when one is about to go astray or to push when one doesn’t want to get out of her comfort zone. We rekindle ones inner fire when it goes out. We snort with laughter over nonsense things we see at social media feeds or cry over dog movies. We are best friends turning the bleak. And I couldn’t be happier with this bunch. ❤️
Anyway, here's how to get to Boracay from Singapore:
✈️ Depart - Plane > Van > Boat > Tricycle - Arrived! 🏝️
There is Direct flight From SG to Kalibo Airport via TigerAir or Silk Air. Else, you can also book a connecting flight SG to MNL to Caticlan Airport. Caticlan airport nearer to the Caticlan Jetty Port (5min tricycle ride) compared from Kalibo Airport which is about 2 hrs van ride away. If you were not able to do an advance booking of transfer for van+boat with either Southwest Tours or Island Star Express, no worries as there are few agency stands and friendly people outside the Kalibo Airport that offers van+boat ride for P250. So you ride the van from there, travel for 2 hrs with the field scenery and once you reached the Caticlan Jetty Port, just queue for the terminal fee P100 and environmental fee P150. Fill out the passenger sheet then head to the boarding area. Boat transfer is about 15 minutes only. When you finally drop off at the Cagban Port- Boracay just ride tricycle going to your resort (est P50). Hola! Enjoy the fine white beach and the amazing view.
There are tons of activities that you can do at Boracay (e.g Parasailing, Helmet Diving, Scuba Diving, Island Hopping, Banana Boat/ Fly Fish, Jet ski, ATV etc) On our recent trip (May19-21) we opted for Island hopping with cliff jumping and snorkelling as some of us had tried parasailing, fly fish and helmet diving before plus given the limited time we had. Definitely, it wouldn’t be that hard to find someone that will cater for any activities. Most of the hotels have their contacts, so you can just ask and try to haggle the price or walk along the beach front definitely someone will approach to offer all sort of activities. You can also check Ariel’s Point as they offer quite good package or check those that offer yacht party like Manic Monkey or why not join the Pub Crawl event. If any of these doesn’t suit you and you’re the type that wanted to just relax better head to spa. The selection is going to depend on your budget as there are luxury spa offered at Shangri La and the likes. My friends and I just went on the nearby and budget friendly spa – Manggo Spa, along Station 2, which actually turned out really good!

Oh my god! This is like the best bridal shower possible. My friends have also booked one of the Chicago event venues for the party, in return I can take them for a beach party away from the city. Thanks a lot for sharing this fantastic idea. It was good to have come across this post.
