4 Days Taiwan Itinerary : Taipei, Hualien and Nantou

All the pictures in this post were the views my
best friend (AJ) and I got to see and experience. It was our first time to
travel with just the two of us and yeah, this was one for the books. I plan to create our Taiwan travel video which would take a
while (a while means months if I’m being honest) HAHA.. watch out!
So for now, I’m sharing
our 4D/3N itinerary.. it was quite tiring but it was totally worth it.
Day 1 Friday

NN - 04:50 PM ETD Singapore to Taipei (Taoyuan)
Airport FYI: The Airport MRT is the
fastest way to reach the airport, with express service taking 35 minutes from
Taipei Main Station to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Express and commuter
trains alternate with a 5 minute interval until midnight. The first express
train leaving Taipei is at 6:00AM, and the last express train leaving Taipei is
at 22:58. The first express train leaving the airport to Taipei is at 6:12AM,
and the last express train leaving the airport to Taipei is at 22:42.
Ticket Fare: NT$160/8SGD via
cash at the ticket machine or booth, or by Easycard (悠遊卡) or
iPass.

How to go there : From Taipei Main
Station take either NT$49 for local train (區間車), NT$76 for express Tze-Chian train
to Riufang station (瑞芳車站) then transfer to the Pingxi Line (平溪線) and
drop off at Shifen station.

How to get there: After exiting
Riufang station (瑞芳車站) walk across to Wellcome supermarket, turn
right and walk down to the police station, the bus stop is after the Family
Mart. Take bus 788 which is heading toward Jiufen and takes around 15 minutes
travel time, and the fare is NT$30z.
Last
bus 1062 back to Riufang departs at 9:30PM

train back to taipei leave around 11:15 PM
Lucky
us, as a driver approached us and ask if we wanted to carpool with them back to
Taipei. He’s not so good in speaking in English but he is one of the nicest
driver/tour guide I’ve ever met in a short span of time. He even feed us some fruits along the way. If you’re
