Bali 3D2N Getaway

I initially drafted this itinerary for my couple friends who just wanted to have a quick getaway and celebrate the boyfie’s birthday, but due to one of my generous friend who gave me free accom advance birthday gift, I don’t have a choice but to come along in the trip (kunwarI napilitan 😜)

Though this trip is a bit relaxed, mostly spent at the beach / beach club/ pool and not loaded of activities as my usual way of travelling, we definitely had great time, stunning sunsets and bunch of pictures.

The beach and view was worth the stairs we had to go down and climb up under the freaking sun. Oh and there’s a cave if you walk further that you can stay and chill at. BUT if you are the not physically fit skip this one.

Full of tourist but the current is better here and you can swim or at least quick dips.

Weekend Getaway at Lexis Hibiscus

Me and my friends decided last minute to go somewhere for Chinese New Year. Well it's long weekend and most of the shops were closed in Singapore, so we checked which places were nearby but outside SG. Also it shouldn't be too costly to go (all flights are expensive in this season) so we opt for land travel. Most of hotels in Bintan and Batam were fully booked or ridiculously overpriced.

So we ended up deciding to go to Lexis Hibiscus at Port Dickson,Malaysia -- known to have the most swimming pools in a resort. One of my friends went there and said it's a good one. So we hurriedly book and good thing they still have available Sea View Villa which is not exposed to any walkways or neighbouring units. I recommend to book this kind of villa for better privacy.

There are direct buses that can drop you off to the hotel but in our case we missed all seats, so we took the bus routed to Seremban instead (travel time est 5hrs) then took a cab from the terminal we were drop off which took almost an hour to reach the hotel. Though, returning to SG was way easier because we were able to secure seats for the direct bus to pick us up from the hotel. We were lucky not to line up in queue in the immigration and everything went smoothly.

We didn't expect much on the hotel even though the pictures in their website seems really nice and inviting. The beds were quite big and comfy plus we just chill at our own pool, ordered food, had some drinks and slept well. They gave complimentary 50 MYR discount that we were able to use on buying food at hibiscus walk. It was spent well by eating Chendol and Ice kacang.

They offer breakfast buffet for 35MYR, and there is Uma Japanese restaurant too that offers buffet on 85MYR that we enjoyed much over dinner.

Pigging out. Literal na pigs are out! 🐷🐷🐷

Definitely, we had an amazing weekend!

Eat. Chill. Swim. Sleep. Repeat.

From Butuan Airport, there are vans you can ride going to Surigao Port (P200) Travel time is around 2-3hrs.
10:00AM – 1:00PM Ferry ride from Surigao City to Dapa Port, Siargao (Php 250)
There are two places to ride the ferry one in the boardwalk and the other is main port terminal. Dapa Express in on the boardwalk, I suggest you take this one as it is faster than other lines.(P250)
1:00PM-1:30PM Tricycle to Harana Surf Resort (P250)

11:00AM- Got back to Resort unfortunately Last ferry for the day was 12nn but left by 11:30AM, travel time to get there was 30mins to 45mins so it was impossible to catch it. So we had to weigh in our options.

PLAN B: Stay in siargao the rest of the trip, and be hopeful to get refund for the deposit with our arrangements for Surigao Del Sur with NO Refund Policy. LOL Goodbye to Enchanted River too :(

PLAN C: Need to create Plan C.
We contacted our bangkero the previous day if there is a way they can transport us to Surigao CIty Port and yes we were lucky because they said yes though it would be different port (Hayanggabon) but from there can travel via land. So we contacted our driver in Surigao Del sur to pick us up on this different location. Enchanted River here we come!

Life Lessons : In Retrospect

The year is almost ending and its been a tradition for me to look back on what are the incredible moments I had, what are the things I'm thankful for and what are the lessons that made impact to my life that made me a better person today.
So I list some of my life lessons that I hope can be a little reminder on how we should look in a different perspective.

✋ Travelling makes you happier, creates new memories, lets you meet new people and make new friends, challenges your self from getting out of your comfort zone, changes on how you look to other's attitude as you understand more of their culture, makes you realize that there are more in this cruel world.. truly, it broadens your horizons. ✈️✈️✈️

✋ If there is a chance, there is no harm in trying.

✋ Life if full of opportunities, its always up to you if you would take the plunge.

It's best to shut up if you've got nothing good to say.

👉 Open communication is the key. Say what you want. Nah, they cant read your mind.

👉 If they don't know you in person, then don't take it personally.

👉 People would think what they want about you, but how you see yourself is what matters most.

👉 You cant change people but how you carry yourself can influence them.

✋ You can be mature and carefree, its a matter of when.

If you do something, then do it good, no, do it well! 😉

😇 An act of kindness doesn't hurt you and it's something you can freely give. Same goes with love.

😇 If someone do good things for you, you can pay it back and pay it forward.

Always look from the top view, by there you can see all sides. 😊

👉 There are days you feel alone and lonely, and yes, this too shall pass. Anyway..

👉 When you feel lonely, find people who are lonely too and together you're two less lonely people in the world. It was four in our case :)

Quarter Life will hit you hard. You don't see it coming yet it feels it's happening at the right time in your life. You realize a lot of things, you evaluate your life choices for the past years, you start to think of what you need and not just what you want, you either wanted a promotion or decided to quit your job, you eliminate people from your life and had count the real friends you've got, you know what style suits you,you invest feelings to your life partner or already looking for the person to spend the rest of your life, you stop doing things that are waste of time and money, you try to balance work, life, friends, family, travel, sleep and nextflix (yes, netflix is substantial to life.. netflix and chill! 😁) So if you are on the same boat just enjoy the ride and next year would definitely get better. 😉
